20170711 On what have we talked ?

Ka* is looking forward to the restaurant meeting. With whom is she going to meet? Her son's friend and her parents. She has to look for a suitable blouse and cardigan for her beautiful multicolored self sewn skirt.
No* had a good time the other day with her friends in strolling watching blooming hydrangeas. Her favorite one is the gorgeous ”Annabelle”.

Mar* went  first to a pension in Appi, Hachimanntai in Iwate and next day to the Dancing Crane Bridge in Fujimi-Lake Park near Hirosaki with her husband and Clara.

They read two parts from the learning sheet about the confusing pronunciations. As follows;


thorough? through? word? sword? great? threat? confusing!
They are really confused by the less familiar traps of the words' pronunciation.
In September they will fill in the answers in table of the next sheet.

It was snowing softly as we eventually left the bar and
walked across the Old Town Square. I told him about
the witch and Planet Zog, and he laughed. I told him
about the bog-roll dinosaur and he laughed some
 more, but differently. We stopped to look up at the
 twin gothic spires of the Tyn church, covered with 
new snowfall, and I said it was like fairyland, they 
reminded me of the Disneyland Castle, old Walt 
must have got his inspiration here.  And he brushed
 a snowflake from my cheek and kissed me, and I knew
 exactly how old Walt's Cinderella felt when she found
her prince. And then he said as we couldn't get much 
colder we might as well carry on to th Charles Bridge 
and do it properly. So pressed up together we walked 
to the bridges in snow, and gazed down the river at 
all the bridges in the snowy lamp light, and back at 
the Old Town, all its fairyland roofs and spires white 
with new snow, and he said he'd never feel quite the 
same about snow again, and kissed me. Well, I kissed 
him too, naturally; I wouldn't want you to think I was 
standing there like some passive, dopey wimpette. But 
this time there was hardly anyone about, and even if 
there had been we wouldn't have cared ,so if any old 
Prague ghosts were shocked by twenty-first century 
lack of decorum , I apologize to them now.

Charles Bridge 橋の欄干には15体ずつ、合計30体の彫刻が並んでいる。カレル橋（カレルばし、チェコ語: Karlův most）はチェコ共和国の首都、プラハを流れるヴルタヴァ川に架かる橋である。
神聖ローマ皇帝カール4世の治世下1357年に建設が始まり1402年に完成した。1841年までプラハ旧市街とその周囲をつなぐ唯一の橋であった。また、西欧と東欧の交易ルートとしてプラハが重要な地位を占めるようになった。これらの彫像の中で著名なものは「十字架像（ゴルゴダの丘で磔にされたキリスト像，Crucifix and Calvary）」、「ブルンツヴィーク像（Bruncvík column）」と「聖人ヤン・ネポムツキー像（St. John of Nepomuk）」である[3]。この聖人ヤン・ネポムツキー像の基部にあるネポムツキーのレリーフに触れると幸運が訪れるといわれ多くの人に触られたためつるつるになっている。

30 mostly baroque statues and statuaries ;Among the most notable sculptures, one can find the statuaries of St. Luthgard, the Holy Crucifix and Calvary, and John of Nepomuk. Well known also is the statue of the knight Bruncvík
